Dyson Vacuum Repair in Richmond, VA

Dyson repair is daily work in this shop — Katrina put it best in her Google review when she watched Mike take her Dyson apart "like a guy taking apart and cleaning a gun with a blindfold on." The recurring jobs are cyclone assembly cleaning and rebuilds on uprights, battery and trigger replacement on the V-series cordless line, and ball-mechanism repairs the big-box stores will not attempt. Dysons are engineered tight, which is exactly why experience with them matters.

What We See On The Bench

Common Dyson problems we fix

V-series cordless pulsing or cutting out

Pulsing usually means an airflow blockage or a dying battery; cutting out under load points at the battery or trigger. We diagnose which before replacing anything — half of the "dead battery" Dysons we see are actually clogged.

Suction loss on Root Cyclone machines

The cyclone pack collects fine dust where you cannot brush it out. We open and properly clean or rebuild the assembly, which restores suction the washable-filter routine cannot.

Ball uprights hard to steer or flopping

The articulation joints and yoke inside the ball wear. We repair the mechanism — a job that requires complete disassembly most shops decline.

Brush bar stopped on Animal heads

Direct-drive cleaner heads fail at the motor or the wiring loom. Both are replaceable parts; the head rarely needs to be discarded whole.

Dyson Questions

Dyson repair FAQs

My Dyson lost suction — what does the repair involve?

First we confirm where the loss is: filters, cyclone pack, hose path, or motor. On most Dysons the culprit is a cyclone assembly packed with fine dust that washing the filter cannot fix. The repair is a full strip-down, deep clean or rebuild of the cyclone pack, new filters where needed, and an airflow test against what the machine should pull. Call for an estimate before we start; the work carries our 90-day warranty.

Do you replace Dyson V-series batteries?

Yes — V6 through the current models. We fit quality replacement packs, and importantly we test the trigger, motor, and filters at the same time, because a clogged or faulty machine will drain a brand-new battery fast and make the new pack look bad. If the battery is fine and the fault is elsewhere, we will tell you that instead of selling you a battery.
