Hoover Vacuum Repair in Richmond, VA

Hoover has been in American homes for over a century, and there is probably no brand we have seen more of across thirty years in Richmond. Today the bench work splits three ways: WindTunnel uprights with belt, brush roll, and airflow faults; SmartWash and PowerDash carpet cleaners with pump and recovery problems; and Hoover Commercial machines out of Richmond businesses. Hoover service training plus a deep stock of common Hoover parts means most repairs turn around fast.

What We See On The Bench

Common Hoover problems we fix

WindTunnel lost brush action or shredding belts

A jammed brush roll or worn drive path eats belts. We replace the belt, service the roller, and find what jammed it so the new belt survives.

Carpet cleaner not spraying or not recovering

SmartWash and PowerDash machines fail at the solution pump, the valves, or the recovery tank seals. All are repairable — these machines are rarely worth discarding.

Cordless ONEPWR runtime collapse

Battery packs age and connectors corrode. We test the pack, charger, and machine separately so you only replace what actually failed.

Commercial Hoover uprights overheating

Clogged filters and packed brush chambers starve the motor of cooling air. Caught early it is a cleaning-and-parts job rather than a motor job.

Hoover Questions

Hoover repair FAQs

Is an older Hoover worth repairing?

Often, yes — especially the WindTunnel uprights and the commercial line, which were built with serviceable motors and cheap, available wear parts. As a rule of thumb we repair when the cost is under half the price of a comparable new machine, and we will tell you honestly which side of that line your Hoover falls on. Estimates are arranged when you call and stay valid for 30 days.

Do you fix Hoover carpet cleaners?

Yes — pump failures, broken spray paths, recovery problems, leaking tanks, and brush drive faults on SmartWash, PowerDash, and the older SteamVac line are all routine work here. Carpet cleaners look terminal when they stop spraying, but the fix is usually a pump or valve, not a new machine, and every repair carries our 90-day warranty.
