Brush roll indicator red / roller not spinning
Hair wrap past the anti-wrap comb, a worn roller, or a failed drive is the usual chain. We strip the nozzle down, clear the drivetrain, and replace what is actually worn.
Shark machines dominate Richmond living rooms, and we see every generation of them. The most frequent bench work is brush roll and drive service on Navigator and Rotator uprights, battery replacement on the cordless line, and cleaning out the dust-cup and filter systems that quietly choke suction. Sharks are more repairable than their reputation suggests — most "dead" Sharks leave our shop working.

Lithium packs age. We fit replacement batteries for the common cordless models and test charge circuits so the new pack is not killed by an old fault.
The seal path between pod and base leaks when gaskets wear or the dust cup warps. We restore the seal and verify suction in both configurations.
The self-cleaning comb mechanism jams on heavy pet hair. We service the mechanism rather than just cutting the hair out, so it stops recurring.
We work by appointment. Call (804) 262-9683 with your Shark model and the symptom — often we can tell you roughly what to expect before you drive over.
Your estimate is arranged when you call and holds for 30 days. If actual cost would ever exceed it by more than $25, we contact you before proceeding.
Quality parts, careful work, and a 90-day warranty on the repair. Lift-Away system repair, anti-wrap technology service, and more — all in-house.
It depends on the model and the fault, and we will tell you straight. A brush roll, belt, filter, or battery issue on a mid-range or upper Shark is almost always worth fixing — the repair is a fraction of replacement cost. If the motor has failed on an entry-level model, replacement may genuinely be the better buy, and because we also sell vacuums we can show you what a longer-lasting machine looks like. Call for an estimate either way — you will get a straight answer.
Yes. Battery replacement is one of our most common Shark repairs. We fit quality replacement packs for the popular cordless and Pet Pro models, and we test the charger and machine electronics at the same time so a hidden fault does not shorten the life of the new battery.
Shark owners bring machines to our West End workshop (by appointment) from across the metro: Richmond, Henrico County, Chesterfield County, Hanover County, Short Pump, Glen Allen, Midlothian, Mechanicsville, Bon Air, Tuckahoe, Innsbrook, West End. We also sell Shark vacuums and stock common Shark parts.
